Restructuring proceedings concluded

König + Neurath AG has successfully completed its restructuring proceedings as planned. Following the court’s confirmation of the plan and the conclusion of the proceedings, the company will resume normal business operations on 1 June 2026.
The completion of the proceedings marks a significant step for the future of König + Neurath. The going-concern solution lays the foundation for the stable further development of the company and for the consistent continuation of the transformation that has already begun.
The market environment for the office and contract furniture sector remains characterised by economic uncertainty, changing investment behaviour and intense competitive pressure. Against this backdrop, structural adjustments were necessary to position König + Neurath for long-term competitiveness.
Key elements of the restructuring include a sustainable financing structure, streamlined processes and measures to strengthen operational performance. This step was made possible by the collaboration of many stakeholders: the shareholder family, the financing partners, customers, partners and suppliers, as well as the employees.
“The conclusion of the proceedings is an important milestone for König + Neurath. In recent months, challenging but necessary decisions have been taken to put our company on a stable footing,” says Patrick Heinen, CEO of König + Neurath AG. “We are now looking firmly to the future: we want to strengthen our market position, further expand our innovative strength and continue to develop König + Neurath as a reliable partner for high-quality, sustainable working environments.”
Alongside the successful restructuring, the family of shareholders is also making a clear commitment to continuing König + Neurath as a family business.
“For over 100 years, König + Neurath has stood for quality made in Germany, corporate responsibility and long-standing partnerships. As shareholders, we are firmly committed to continuing the family business and to the Karben site. We would like to express our special thanks to everyone who has supported König + Neurath during this important period: the Executive Board, our employees, the financing bank, as well as our customers, partners and suppliers. Your trust, your commitment and your clear dedication form a strong foundation for the consistent further development of the company and for leading it successfully and responsibly into the future.”
Special thanks go to the employees of König + Neurath. Their commitment, loyalty and willingness to support the necessary changes have played a key role in enabling the company to continue.
Our employees have stepped up to the plate during these challenging times and, through their tremendous dedication, have demonstrated what König + Neurath is all about. We would also like to thank the shareholder family, our financial partners, customers, specialist retail partners and suppliers for their trust and support. This shared commitment is a key prerequisite for our fresh start.
With the return to normal business operations, König + Neurath is focusing on the further implementation of the transformation process. This includes sharpening the strategic focus, optimising internal processes and further developing high-quality, sustainable furnishing solutions.
König + Neurath remains committed to its mission of working with customers and partners to visualise how organisations intend to shape their work, foster collaboration and develop in the future. As a catalyst and solution partner for modern working cultures, the company translates these requirements into holistic working environments.
